New Magic Kingdom Castle Hub Begins To Open

Disney has been working on a massive construction project to expand the Magic Kingdom hub area around Cinderella Castle for some time.

The first parts of that construction are now complete. These areas are on either side of Main Street USA, between Casey’s Corner and the Plaza Ice Cream Shop, and reaching toward Cinderella Castle itself.

The new area will provide additional viewing areas for the Wishes nighttime fireworks spectacular. Some of the areas will be open to the general public, while others will be reserved spots for those who make FastPass+ reservations. The areas reserved for FastPass+ viewing have MagicBand reader stanchions and feature artificial grass.

Let’s take a look.
