As you make your way up Main Street USA and pass through Cinderella Castle, one of the first things you encounter as you enter Fantasyland is Sir Mickey’s, a gift shop that features some expected and unexpected merchandise.
Story Behind The Store
The store seems to take inspiration from two different Disney classics – Mickey and the Beanstalk, which debuted in 1947, and The Brave Little Tailor, which debuted in 1938. By the way, Mickey and the Beanstalk was the last film in which Walt Disney himself provided the voice for Mickey Mouse.
Fun Merchandise
The store does carry a mix of standard Disney character merchandise, such as princess shirts and plush toys. But it also carries some items that are unique to the Magic Kingdom and to Fantasyland. Let’s take a look at some of the offerings.
