Things at Walt Disney World have slowly been returning to pre-COVID operations. On October 28, 2021, Port Orleans Resort-French Quarter reopened, another benchmark in Disney World’s return to normal.

Take a stroll around the French Quarter, and you will notice a very intimate feel with old-fashioned lampposts and the bursts of Mardi Gras colors. Sometimes, guests can walk around and be completely by themselves. This resort offers a kind of serenity that other resorts can’t offer.
Port Orleans-French Quarter is best known for its Mickey-shaped beignets located at Scat Cat’s Club Café. The fried Mickey treats come in a variety of flavors, typically changing with the seasons. For those with allergy concerns, Scat Cat’s also dishes out gluten-free beignets.
