Disney World’s EPCOT park started a new holiday tradition in 2019 by taking its Living with the Land ride and decking it out for the holidays with sparkling Christmas lights, props, and even an updated soundtrack. By adding this holiday overlay, the ride becomes truly festive during the month of December.
Living with the Land is a classic boat ride that takes riders first through a depiction of the many ecosystems our world is made up of and then travels through EPCOT’s very own greenhouse, where guests can see the food they eat in EPCOT’s restaurants being grown in new and unique ways that will help protect our environment and provide sustainability.
During EPCOT‘s Festival of the Holidays, riders get to enjoy the Christmas overlay that has added thousands of Christmas lights, put bows on hanging gourds, and set up multiple little holiday scenes throughout the ride. These Merry and Bright Lights make it a ride that you must ride at night now to fully enjoy all the holiday fun.

When you’re ready to hop on this ride, ask if you can wait for the first row. Living with the Land usually has a very small wait time so waiting for one additional boat to arrive will only take a couple of minutes and will greatly improve your viewing experience.
