Barbecue fans will be excited for the news that Roundup Rodeo BBQ will open in Spring 2023! The table service restaurant is coming to Toy Story Land in Disney’s Hollywood Studios to welcome guests for delicious barbecue and toy-sized fun. Let’s take a sneak peek at Roundup Rodeo BBQ and the collaboration that took place with Imagineers, Disney Pixar Animation Studios and Walt Disney World Food & Beverage to bring this one-of-a-kind dining experience to life.
Using only his imagination, Woody’s Roundup toys, and other playthings, Andy has constructed a rodeo restaurant for all his pals. Once guests enter the dining room they will witness firsthand just how much fun Andy had creating a lively space for all to enjoy barbecue-inspired comfort foods. Meals will be served family-style with platters of house-smoked meats, a roundup of sides, and some sweet surprises along the way.
Some of the fantastic toys you’ll see are a steam train supported by colored pencils, a really cool house of cards, and game boards featuring, of course, the beloved characters from the ‘Toy Story” films. Andy decorated the cardboard box with hand-drawn audience members to fill the stands of his rodeo arena. Jessie, Trixie, and Bo Peep with her trio of leaping sheep Bill, Goat, and Gruff are also featured in the dining room.
Bringing toys, games, and sets to the park is the collaboration of our friends at Disney Pixar Animation Studios. Characters and art from the films come to life in new ways unique to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Andy even used full comic strips about Woody’s adventures to design the dining room ceiling.
