The Walt Disney Company reports they have received significant feedback from guests desiring more control and flexibility when it comes to planning Disney vacations. Disney is currently working on a way for guests to book Disney Genie+ and individual Lightning Lane selections prior to their trip.
The changes are projected to roll out in time for guests planning a visit in 2024.
A major complaint regarding Disney Genie+ is the amount of screen time required to effectively use the service while in the parks. Disney has heard you and plans to address it to increase guest satisfaction with the add-on within the My Disney Experience app.
Specific details have not been shared about the new feature as of yet, but it is expected to be available for guests who visit during 2024.

We have heard from guests that they would like ways to plan with Disney Genie+ service and individual Lightning Lane selections before the day of their park visit, and we want you to know we are working on ways guests may do this for visits in 2024. Our goal is to give you the opportunity to spend less time planning in the park and more time enjoying your visit with friends and family. While we are not yet able to share specific details, we look forward to sharing more information at a later date.
