The Haunted Mansion ride is a classic Disney dark ride that takes you through a haunted mansion that is both spooky and fun. With 999 Happy Haunts surrounding your Doom Buggy, you’ll scream with delight at their funny antics and clever witticisms.
This ride is so beloved, that several movies have been created based upon it and another movie just hit the theaters this past weekend. Inspired by the classic theme park attraction, “Haunted Mansion” is about a woman and her son who enlist a motley crew of so-called spiritual experts to help rid their home of supernatural squatters. Keep your eyes peeled for many easter eggs and nods to the Haunted Mansion attractions that made it into this film!
Whether you choose to see the movie or not, you can still enjoy some fun Haunted Mansion treats (and one exciting update) while visiting the Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World. Let’s look at just a few!
Prepare for the Hatbox Ghost!
We’ve heard for quite a while that the Hatbox Ghost was going to come and “live” along with the other 999 happy haunts of the Haunted Mansion in Magic Kingdom and now we have an update. It looks like he will appear in the endless hallway. We don’t have an exact date yet, but if you ride and see some temporary barriers up in that area, you’ll know he’s coming soon!
