Beginning today, January 21, 2025, Disney’s Lightning Lane Premier Pass is available for all guests to purchase, whether they are staying on property or not.
Previously only available to guests staying at a Walt Disney World resort, this skip-the-line add-on option can now be purchased by anyone (including annual passholders) with valid theme park admission.
Guests staying on property still receive the perk of being able to start booking their Lightning Lane Premier Passes up to seven days before the first day of their stay while guests not staying at a Disney resort will need to wait until 7 am, three days before the first day of their visit.
A quick reminder of how the Lightning Lane Premier Pass works: Guests who opt for this add-on can reduce their wait time by skipping the regular standby line for each ride in a park once. Unlike the Lightning Lane Multi Pass add-on, guests do not need to schedule their ride times. They can simply walk through the Lightning Lane queue when it works best for them. With this pass, guests do not need to worry about Lightning Lane options running out. Prices can range from just over $100 per person per day to almost $400 per person per day.
Disney has said there will still be limits on the amount of Lightning Lane Premier Passes available each day and they may run out so guests hoping to use this option should grab their passes as soon as possible.
Will you purchase a Lightning Lane Premier Pass the next time you visit Walt Disney World?
