The maiden voyage of the Disney Destiny is scheduled to take place on November 20 from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale.
Disney Cruise Line and Walt Disney Imagineering are hard at work with the crew at Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany to bring the Disney Destiny to life. With the final block of the Disney Destiny, Disney Cruise Line’s heroes and villains-themed ship in place, we turn your attention to installing the unique exterior features that will distinguish the ship.
Let’s take a look at the Disney Destiny’s bow, which boasts a whimsical piece of art depicting Minnie Mouse striking a pose in her new heroic ensemble. The details of Minnie’s outfit represent the Disney Destiny’s first-of-its-kind “Heroes and Villains” design theme.
Dating back to Disney Cruise Line’s first ship, the Disney Magic, the design follows a longstanding tradition of every Disney Cruise Line vessel having a distinct character-inspired image embossed on its bow. As the maiden voyage draws closer, the team at Meyer Werft shipyard will continue to add details to both the ship’s exterior and interior.
