Walt Disney World Lowers Annual Pass Down Payment, Increases Monthly Payment

Disney has made changes to its Florida Resident Monthly Payment Program for Annual Passes, reducing the initial down payment while increasing the monthly installments.

Lower Down Payment, Higher Monthly Cost Previously

Florida residents using the program were required to pay $205 upfront. Now, that initial payment has been reduced to $99. However, to offset the lower entry cost, the monthly fees have gone up by approximately $8 per month.

Despite this shift in payment structure, the total amount paid over a 12-month period remains unchanged. Those who prefer to pay in full still have that option, and Disney continues to offer 0% APR on all passes.

New Monthly Prices for Annual Passes

The adjusted payment plan affects all four types of Disney World annual passes available to Florida residents. Here’s what passholders can now expect to pay each month:

  • Pixie Dust Pass: Previously $25, now $33.38 per month
  • Pirate Pass: Previously $57, now $65.33 per month
  • Sorcerer Pass: Previously $79, now $87.52 per month
  • Incredi-Pass: Previously $121, now $129.23 per month

Changes Apply Only to New Purchases

These updates apply only to new purchases of annual passes. Those already enrolled in the monthly payment plan will continue with their current payment structure without any increases.

With the lower initial cost, Disney may attract more Florida residents to sign up for annual passes. The question remains whether the higher monthly cost will deter potential buyers or if the smaller upfront expense will encourage more guests to commit.
