Disney Cruise Line is revealing how Disney villains, schemers, and scoundrels will be celebrated aboard the Disney Destiny when it sets sail in November.
The Disney Destiny is themed heroes-and-villains, and guests will be immersed in the epic duality of good and evil as the environment transforms throughout the cruise.
Beginning with the Grand Hall of the Disney Destiny and inspired by Marvel Studios’ “Black Panther,” guests will be transported into a world of heroes and villains from the moment they first board. For most of the day, the Grand Hall will have a bright and optimistic energy — a hero’s welcome, if you will — but at any moment, it may morph into a mythical realm of mystery, taking on the signature aura of some of the most legendary villains, rogues and mischief makers of Disney and Marvel lore.
Aboard the Disney Destiny, guests will discover new ways to interact with their favorite Disney villains. A one-of-a-kind piano lounge on board was inspired by Cruella de Vil, and the legend herself will be featured during two brand-new entertainment experiences. The first will be an opportunity for fashion-forward cruisers to put their personal style to the test on Cruella’s very own runway, where the reigning rogue en vogue will provide live commentary. The second experience happens when Cruella hears the “Cruella de Vil” song playing on board. Guests may be recruited as they create a more flattering musical tribute to her marvelousness.
Perhaps you are ready for something a little more mischievous? Then you’ll get a kick out of the swindles and scams of the playfully sinister practitioner of the macabre, Dr. Facilier, who may be lurking around the Grand Hall with a dazzling parlor trick or sleight of hand. You can join him for a game of chance with nothing to lose.
But if spells and incantations are your magic of choice, you will likely find Maleficent holding court at Saga Entertainment Lounge. You can choose whether to witness the magical prowess from afar or dare to approach the mistress of evil for an up-close and personal demonstration.
