The Disney Cruise Lines and Walt Disney Imagineering teams are working with the crew at Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany, to bring the Disney Destiny to life.
The heroes and villains-themed ship is scheduled to make its maiden voyage on November 20 from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Most recently, Spider-Man and his Spider-Bots have found their way aboard the Disney Destiny. The shipyard team, using cranes, installed the first-ever Marvel stern character in Disney Cruise Line history. The larger-than-life sculpture was hoisted up and securely bolted to the back of the ship.
Spider-Man can be seen swooping into action, teaming up with three Spider-Bots to add the finishing touches to the ship’s geometric filigree. With its sharp edges and crisscrossing designs, the filigree gives a playful nod to Spider-Man’s web-slinging skills.
Guests arriving at the Destiny’s home port in Fort Lauderdale later this year will get their first glimpse into the magic awaiting when they board the ship, setting the scene for an adventure full of experiences inspired by legendary Disney heroes and villains.
Excited for the progress being made on the Disney Destiny, heroes and villains-themed ship?
