Disney Springs Eatery Sells Cookies To Support Cancer Research

Pizza Ponte at Disney Springs has raised funds to support pediatric cancer research through a partnership with Cookies for Kids’ Cancer, a national nonprofit founded by Gretchen Witt after her son’s cancer battle. The initiative resulted in a $1,500 donation to the organization.

To mark Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month, Pizza Ponte introduced the Cocoapizzie, a decadent treat that was part cookie, part brownie. Sold for just $5.50, proceeds from each sweet supported vital cancer research for kids.

“Every family has a story about dealing with cancer,” Patina Group Orlando’s Executive Pastry Chef, Michael Gabriel, shared. “ I believe it’s up to us to be part of the community of healing and finding a cure.”

Witt, co-founder of Cookies for Kids’ Cancer, adds: “We started with a one-time bake-a-thon and ended up funding over $23 million in research. To have support from Patina Group at five of their incredible locations is just amazing.”

Happy that Disney Springs locations are supporting cancer research?
