After three long years, it’s finally time to go back Under the Sea.
Guests visiting the Magic Kingdom can once again meet Ariel on the ocean floor in Fantasyland. The reopening marks the first time in 3 years that there will be a character meet and greet in Ariel’s Grotto.
Ariel’s Grotto is located in Fantasyland and can be accessed near Under the Sea-Journey of the Little Mermaid. It also appears that the meet and greet will be included in the growing list of Lightning Lane offerings. The Walt Disney World mobile app now shows “LL” in the information section for “Meet Ariel at Her Grotto” and guests have reported signage for Lightning Lane has recently popped up in the area.
The first day for meet and greets with Ariel was January 22, 2023. At the time this article was written, the average wait time to meet Ariel Under the Sea was fluctuating between 30-45 minutes.
