Disney announced that the “Avatar” experience is coming to Disneyland Resort and will be located at Disney California Adventure. The announcement was made at the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) Expo.
The Walt Disney Company CEO Bob Iger first announced the upcoming “Avatar” experience back in February of 2023 during the earnings call. Mr. Iger implied the experience would be a “version” of Pandora – The World of Avatar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. In March of 2023, a D23 post said it would be “as amazing” as the wildly popular Pandora – The World of Avatar.
During an Imagineering Lunch & Learn, Disney stated that the experience will be at Disney California Adventure, but has not announced additional information at this time. Disney has been reluctant to call the “experience” a land or ride.
