In the last couple of years, the price of a Walt Disney World or Disneyland vacation has skyrocketed. The theme park experiences have never been something anyone would call cheap (even Walt charged admission to Disneyland when all other parks at that time had free admission), but both Disneyland and Walt Disney World prices have been growing faster than ever before.
From the addition of new added costs like Genie+, which replaced the previously free FastPass, to a massive across-the-board price increase on everything at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World, prices continue to escalate.
As it turns out, even Disney CEO Bob Iger thinks that the parks are getting too expensive.
Iger Says Disney Parks Are Too Expensive
While speaking at the Morgan Stanley Technology, Media, and Telecom Conference, Mr. Iger admitted that the price increases at Disney Parks have been too aggressive. The CEO stated he felt that accessibility was important in the parks, and while he understands the importance of profitability, he believes Disney can be smarter about balancing these two things.
