As someone who usually writes about the wonder and whimsy of Disney experiences, I don’t often cover non-Disney restaurants—but every now and then, something truly special comes along that feels like it belongs in the same conversation. That’s exactly how I felt after visiting the new KALI Dining Room, as a hosted media guest.
KALI is a brand-new private dining and event space adjacent to Corazón by Baires on Orlando’s I-Drive.

You can read more about my previous experience in the main Corazon dining room here.
Even though there are no Hidden Mickeys or character breakfasts here, there is a sense of storytelling, attention to detail, and top-tier hospitality that reminded me of the best Disney has to offer. In fact, the name “Kali” immediately brought to mind Kali River Rapids, the adventurous ride at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. While the KALI Dining Room doesn’t include a soaking splashdown, it does offer an immersive, multi-sensory journey that’s just as memorable.
First Impressions: Elevated Elegance Meets Warm Hospitality
From the moment I arrived, the experience felt first-class. The valet greeted me with a smile, the check-in desk was smooth and professional, and the overall energy of the space was both vibrant and inviting.
But the real standout? Our server. Attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable, and truly passionate about the menu, he was one of the best I’ve ever encountered—Disney Signature Dining-level service, without a doubt. His thoughtful recommendations and genuine care elevated the entire evening.
A Feast for the Senses
The space itself is absolutely stunning. Designed by Beyond Merritt Design, KALI spans 4,000 square feet and features 13 massive LED screens, sophisticated lighting, and a fully immersive soundscape. It’s clearly built for big moments—corporate events, family celebrations, and unforgettable nights out. The night I attended, the room transformed before my eyes from a peaceful garden to a high-energy lounge.
But this wasn’t just about looks. The food and drinks absolutely delivered:
Starters – Included a bread service with butter, empanadas, shrimp, and tuna tartare.

Caesar Salad – The salad was fresh and crisp, with just the right amount of dressing.

Salmon with Mussels over Rice – The fish was tender, perfectly seasoned, and bursting with flavor.

Roast Chicken – Marinated for three days and served over creamy mashed potatoes. Yes, it tasted as incredible as it sounds.

Drinks – I tried an Old Fashioned, served in a smoked case for a dramatic reveal. A classic cocktail, beautifully executed. I also tried the Ambrosia De Rosa—A light, floral drink made from Grey Goose, lychee, and coconut cream, it has just the right amount of sweetness and is a lovely complement to the meal.

Desserts – Cheesecake and chocolate cake with fresh berries. Generous portions and a perfect sweet finale.

Why KALI Feels Like Something Disney Would Do
There’s a reason I couldn’t stop thinking about Disney during my visit. KALI blends artistry, technology, and hospitality in a way that mirrors the immersive dining experiences found at places like EPCOT’s Space 220 or Animal Kingdom’s Tiffins.
Every detail—from the AV installations to the menu presentation—felt intentional, thoughtful, and full of story. And like the best Disney experiences, KALI is about more than just food; it’s about how that food makes you feel in the moment.

Final Thoughts: Worthy of a Celebration
Whether you’re planning a corporate event, family celebration, or just a special night out, the KALI Dining Room is well worth a visit. With group menus starting at $95 and the ability to book individual tables through OpenTable, it’s a versatile, high-end option for any occasion.
Later this summer, KALI will also debut as a late-night lounge—complete with high-energy music and dazzling visuals. It’s shaping up to be one of the most exciting new venues on I-Drive.
While it may not be inside a theme park, KALI captures that same sense of magic, storytelling, and exceptional service that keeps us coming back to Disney time and time again.
You can find Corazon by Baires and the KALI dining room at 8126 International Dr, Orlando, FL 32819.
