If you have visited a Walt Disney World Resort hotel after the COVID-19 pandemic reopening, then you know that due to labor shortages and other issues, housekeeping services had to be modified and cleaning schedules were greatly reduced.
Walt Disney World has now announced that beginning on January 15, 2023, full housekeeping services at ALL Deluxe Walt Disney World Resort hotels will be reinstated. A few select Deluxe hotels have already reinstated full housekeeping services, including Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge – Jambo House.
Here is a look at what the reinstated housekeeping will look like beginning January 15.
- DELUXE Resorts will receive DAILY full housekeeping service.
- MODERATE & VALUE Resorts will receive EVERY OTHER DAY full housekeeping service.
- Disney Vacation Club Members staying at a DVC Resort will continue to receive housekeeping service based on their length of stay. Disney Vacation Club Members and their Guests may purchase additional housekeeping service by visiting the front desk or contacting housekeeping via their in-room phone.
As a reminder, full housekeeping services include: making the bed, replacing towels and amenities, cleaning the bathroom, emptying the trash and recycling, and tidying the room by dusting, wiping counters, and vacuuming.
It’s important to note that Guests may still decline housekeeping service at any time during their stay if they so choose. This can be accomplished during the online check-in process, by speaking with a Cast Member, or by placing the “room occupied” sign on the Guest room door.
