Disney Destiny’s Cask And Cannon – A Pirate-Themed Lounge Like No Other

Guests setting sail on the upcoming Disney Cruise Line’s Disney Destiny will have the chance to immerse themselves in a one-of-a-kind pirate experience with the introduction of Cask & Cannon, a vibrant new lounge inspired by Pirates of the Caribbean. The venue promises a richly themed setting filled with hidden references, detailed decor, and Disney magic that pays tribute to the iconic franchise and park attractions.

A Pirate’s Hideaway on the High Seas

Designed to resemble a classic seafarer’s tavern, Cask & Cannon will welcome visitors into a world of maritime mischief and buried treasures. The space is set to feature wooden ship-like interiors, mismatched vintage furnishings, and an array of nautical props that bring the spirit of piracy to life.

From fishing nets to barrels and lanterns, the entire venue is being crafted with layered storytelling in mind. Skulls, compasses, and references to legendary scenes from the Disney Parks attraction will be subtly embedded throughout the design. Carvings reminiscent of the burning village scene and lanterns inspired by those in Disneyland Paris are just a few of the visual treats guests can expect.

A Treasure Trove of Details

Fans of the Pirates of the Caribbean film series will also spot familiar elements from the movies. For instance, the bar area will be creatively built from stacked treasure chests, while a nearby drawer display will highlight maps and locations from Disney’s various pirate-themed park lands around the globe. Each drawer will represent different ports of call—from Shanghai’s Treasure Cove to California’s Blue Bayou.

Adding even more depth to the immersive setting, the ceiling will feature a stylized map of the Caribbean Sea, influenced by the original artwork of famed Disney animator Marc Davis. This custom version includes seven ships symbolizing each of the Disney Cruise Line’s vessels, including the new Disney Destiny.

Guests are also encouraged to look down, where the carpet incorporates elements such as the Pieces of Eight tied to the pirate lords and Captain Jack Sparrow’s mysterious compass. Whether or not it leads to treasure—or something more personal—is part of the fun.

Exclusive Merch Sets Sail

For those looking to take a piece of the adventure home, Disney Destiny will offer a special collection of pirate-themed merchandise exclusively available onboard. The selection will include unique barware, drink accessories, pirate-inspired fashion, and even an adventurous tote for storing your spoils (responsibly obtained, of course).
