Guests wishing to retain their Castaway Club Member status with Disney Cruise Line will have to follow new terms as adjustments have been made to the membership qualifications.
Previously, if you have ever sailed with Disney Cruise Line you were already a member of the Castaway Club. Going forward, to maintain Castaway Club Membership, guests are now required to book or sail no less than one eligible cruise within a five-year period. The update was noted on the Castaway Club Frequently Asked Questions page and reads as follows:
Guests who have completed one eligible Disney cruise automatically qualify for Castaway Club membership. To remain in the program, Castaway Club Members must book or sail on at least one eligible cruise within 5 years of their last Disney voyage. Please note that we periodically review the Castaway Club program and may make updates accordingly.
So, unless you book or sail once every five years, you will lose your Castaway Club status.
