Four brand new Disney Cruise Line ships will be joining the fleet between 2027 and 2031!
With a little help from musical group All-4-One, Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D’Amaro revealed that four ships will be joining Disney Cruise Line’s ever-expanding roster of award-winning ships sailing around the world. The announcement came during Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.
The fleet currently boasts five ships with four others already in the works. The additional four ships will bring the fleet to a total of 13, giving you 13 different opportunities to experience everything that Disney Cruise Line has become known for. Designs, itineraries, and ship names are still in development but it gives the green light to start dreaming about your next sailing adventure!
Disney Destiny and Disney Treasure news
Josh also shared updates during D23: The Ultimate Disney Fantasy Event that the signature production above the Disney Destiny will be “Disney Hercules,” featuring the music and characters you know and love from the classic Walt Disney Animation Studios film. The Destiny will begin sailing in 2025.
The Disney Treasure will make its maiden voyage in 2025 and Josh shared a few updates about this ship as well. Guests will get to see a brand-new stage production, “Disney: The Tale of Moana.” The show will also include a giant puppet on stage.
“Te Kā will appear onstage as a 15-foot-tall puppet – the largest we’ve ever produced for a Disney Cruise Line show,” Josh told the crowd. “I’ve had a chance to see this in person, and it is stunning.”
“At Disney Experiences, Imagineers dream, create, design and build these stories into real places. And we have Imagineers in place right now all around the world because everything we’re going to share with you is in active development. Plans are drawn. Dirt is moving. I just want to be clear about this: We are doing everything you’re going to hear tonight.” – Josh D’Amaro
