Disney Cruise Line Announces New Fireworks Show and More Details About ‘Silver Anniversary at Sea’

Disney Cruise Line has released details, including an all-new fireworks show, as they kick off their “Silver Anniversary at Sea.” The celebration will be held from May to September 2023.

“Silver Anniversary at Sea” commemorates the 25th anniversary of Disney Cruise Line, launching in 1998 with the Disney Magic.

Disney Cruise Line has the unique distinction of being the first cruise line ever to have a fireworks show at sea. On select “Silver Anniversary at Sea” itineraries, a new fireworks display will premiere. The limited-time show will feature iconic Disney music and a new signature song.

Sailings to the Bahamas, the Caribbean, and the Mediterranean will boast the 25th-anniversary fireworks show on most voyages.

In addition, guests will be invited to join the ship’s captain and cruise director on one evening for a special anniversary toast. Captain Mickey and Captain Minnie, decked out in their new “Silver Anniversary at Sea” outfits, will join the fun and the toast will feature the anniversary’s new theme song.

Guests who have sailed with Disney Cruise Line before are part of the Castaway Club. Members who sail during the “Silver Anniversary at Sea” will receive a limited edition 11×14 framed Captain Mickey art print in their stateroom. The artwork is by Disney artist Joe Kaminski.
