Disney Cruise Line has released the first details of the next ship in the fleet!
Sister to the Disney Wish and Disney Treasure, The Disney Destiny will have a first-of-its-kind design theme, “Heroes and Villains,” drawing inspiration from the legacies of beloved Disney stories, characters, and theme park attractions.

The Disney Cruise Line and Walt Disney Imagineering teamed up when developing the design of this newest ship. Every great Disney Story, where forces of light and darkness characters rise to their purpose can be found within spaces, experiences, and entertainment on the ship. Heroes and villains alike will appear onboard to guests, including those from beloved Walt Disney Animation stories like “The Lion King,” “Hercules” and “One Hundred and One Dalmatians” as they sail to their destination.

Brand-new filigree artwork adorns the bow of the ship, where Minnie Mouse – donning a heroic new ensemble – cape and all! – will boldly lead guests on memorable cruise vacations. Minnie Mouse embodies the spirit of the Disney Destiny.

The keel-laying ceremony recently took place at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany, marking a new construction milestone. The keel-laying ceremony is a maritime tradition to bestow good luck upon the ship. As part of a multi-year expansion of the Disney Cruise Line fleet, the ship is scheduled for delivery in 2025.

Now that The Disney Destiny is beginning to take shape, you can expect more details to be released soon!
