Anytime is a great time to take a voyage on the Disney Cruise Line, but Disney adds some extra magic and sparkle for trips around Christmastime. Disney’s offers Very Merrytime Cruises on three, four, and seven night itineraries from Port Canaveral, Texas, and New York in 2018 and 2019.
In addition to special decorations all around the ship and on Castaway Cay, you can also expect some special activities.
Let’s take a look at some photos and details:

Special Activities
Here are some of the special Christmastime activities on the ship:
Mickey’s Tree Lighting Magic Ceremony: Join the fun as Mickey and Minnie Mouse light up the Christmas Tree, and then sing along to some classic Christmas carols.
Santa Claus Meet-and-Greet: You can meet the big guy on the ship.
Storytime with Mrs. Claus: Mrs. Claus reads some well-known Christmas stories from her rocking chair by the Christmas tree in the atrium lobby.
Animation Cells: Create a Christmas-themed animation cell in the Oceaneer Lab.
Themed Activities and Crafts: Kids can decorate stockings and cards, and can also participate in a fun scavenger hunt.
Gingerbread House: Much like the impressive displays at the Contemporary Resort and Grand Floridian at Walt Disney World, Disney’s pastry chefs have created a huge gingerbread house. Make sure to get a photo!
Christmas Merchandise: Many of the Christmas products on the ship are similar to what you will find in the parks, but there are also some specific to the Disney Cruise Line.
Of course, Disney Cruises always include great food (including upscale add-ons like Palo brunch) and great entertainment (like Disney bingo), but the Very Merrytime cruises add some extra Christmastime fun!
