Disney Cruise Line Unveils New Character Outfits For Lookout Cay

Renowned Bahamian fashion designer Theodore Elyett has unveiled a delightful collection of outfits for Disney characters, inspired by the vibrant spirit of the beloved Bahamian tradition, Junkanoo.

Theodore’s collection features eight adorable looks, each carefully crafted with traditional Junkanoo style in mind. From eye-catching fringe details to intricate Bahamian island-inspired motifs, every piece embodies the essence of the Bahamian culture. Take, for instance, Goofy’s vest adorned with fringe or Mickey Mouse’s conch shell shorts. Even Minnie Mouse’s pineapple purse reflects the colorful inspiration drawn from Bahamian island life, with ocean waves and sun rays adorning Donald Duck and Chip and Dale’s outfits.

The collection features a range of accessories, including raffia accents inspired by Mickey and Minnie Mouse’s tropical attire. Natural Bahamian straw handiwork is woven into the outfits, with straw visors, oversized beach hats, and bucket hats adorning Donald and Daisy Duck, Goofy, and Chip and Dale. The charming raffia poms adorning the dresses, shoes, hat brims, and shoulder straps pay homage to the traditional Bahamian craft.

From Daisy Duck’s stunning hat to Goofy’s playful socks and Pluto’s vacation-ready collar, each detail in the collection adds to its charm and vibrancy.
