Walt Disney World has announced changes to Disney Genie+ that will take place starting June 8, 2022.
Available Day Of Visit Only
First, guests will only be able to purchase Disney Genie+ on the day of their visit. Until now, guests could purchase Genie+ as an add-on to their tickets before their arrival.
Guests who have already purchased Genie+ with their tickets for future visits will still be able to use it.
Subject To Availability
Disney also announced that Genie+ will be subject to availability. This suggests that Disney will limit the availability of the service, especially on busy days, so that guests who have purchased it will still see a benefit.
Disney anticipates that most guests who buy Genie+ will be able to use it for 2-3 attractions each day.
Disney World Only
This change to Disney Genie+ only applies to the Walt Disney World Resort for now and does not apply to the Disneyland Resort.
