Two industry trade groups, Architecture, Engineering, Construction, Operations, and Management (AECOM) and the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) have published their 2023 Theme Index. The yearly index provides an attendance report that covers theme parks around the world.
The industry groups froze their rankings from 2019-2022 due to COVID-19, but now the ranking process is back to normal.
Overall, American parks experienced modest growth, Asian parks grew significantly due to longer-lasting pandemic restrictions, and European parks grew well.

- Guest Count: Approximately 11,980,00 guests visited the park in 2023.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios:
- Rank: Disney’s Hollywood Studios came in at number 4.
- Guest Count: Approximately 10,300,000 guests visited the park in 2023.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
- Rank: Disney’s Animal Kingdom came in at number 9.
- Guest Count: Approximately 9,027,000 guests visited in 2023.
Disney does not publish its attendance numbers. These findings represent independent estimations.
