Disney KiteTails Premiers At Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Disney Kite Tails premiered today and I got to see the first show!

Here’s how Disney describes it: Hearts and imaginations will soar as incredible kites and windcatchers dance through the air to the beat of beloved Disney songs during this high-flying performance at Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park. Be awed by elaborate, three-dimensional kites of Simba, Zazu, King Louie, Baloo, and more as they take flight above the Discovery River Theater.

KiteTails officially opens on October 1st as part of the 50th anniversary, but you can see it early in Disney's Animal Kingdom!

The kites are pulled through the air on jet skis much like former shows at Disney Springs and Epcot.
Cast members operate puppets as part of the show, like these turtles.

The kites are colorful with cool strings that fly through the air.
The puppets were crowd pleasers!

Check out Baloo! He had a little mishap during the first show, but hopefully Disney will work out the kinks quickly!
