As The World’s Most Magical Celebration concludes on March 31, 2023, we turn our attention to what lies ahead for The Walt Disney Company. 2023 will kick off the celebration of 100 years of The Walt Disney Company! The Disney100 Celebration will be the largest cross-company global celebration in the 100-year history of The Walt Disney Company. Here is just a glimpse at some of the exciting things to look forward to:

On October 16, 1923, Walt Disney and Roy O. Disney founded the Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio and changed the world forever. One hundred years later, we’re still carrying on the legacy of Walt’s dream—and creating new things beyond the bounds of what was possible a century ago.
Here are just some of the ways you can help ring in 100 years of Disney in 2023:
- See Mickey in his new “platinum” outfit
- A brand-new Walt Disney Studios logo introduction
- Disney100: The Exhibition
- New Disney100 merchandise, including a Platinum Collection, a Decades Collection, and all-new books
- A vinyl compilation highlighting Disney’s musical moments across film, television, and the Parks
Walt Disney World Resort
Tron: Magic Kingdom Park will get the party started in the spring of 2023 with the opening of Tron Lightcycle / Run. The highly anticipated coaster has been a fan-favorite at Shanghai Disneyland and is sure to become a beloved addition to the Magic Kingdom.
Haunted Mansion: Over in Magic Kingdom’s Liberty Square; as announced at D23 Expo 2022, the popular, guest-favored Hatbox Ghost will make his home at Magic Kingdom’s Haunted Mansion during 2023.
Fireworks: As if those two additions didn’t add enough excitement, the beloved Happily Ever After fireworks will be lighting up the skies with an updated version of the show in 2023.
Journey of Water: Not to be left out, EPCOT guests will begin to see some new enhancements opening late in 2023. The World Celebration neighborhood and Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana will offer guests new and exciting experiences. The imaginations of guests will be sparked with the return of Figment appearing live!
Disney Park guests near and far will all be able to enjoy a series of adorable shorts on Disney+ starring Duffy and friends! The six-episode, stop-motion animated series features all of Duffy’s pals, including the new fox LinaBell. Soon you will be captivated by the charming antics of Duffy and his cuddly crew!
