With the newest Disney Cruise Line ship, the Disney Treasure preparing to set sail, we are happy to share a first look at this majestic new vessel. You will be the first to see what all Disney Cruise guests will see when they begin their vacation: the Grand Hall. Drawing on real-world influences from Asia and Africa, as well as the land of Agrabah from the Walt Disney Animation Studios film, “Aladdin,” the Grand Hall embodies the ship’s theme of adventure.
Disney Details Found in the Grand Hall on the Disney Treasure
As is the case with all Disney Cruise Line ships, the Disney Treasure features a unique character statue that brings the ship’s theme to life.
A life-size bronze statue of Aladdin, Princess Jasmine, and Magic Carpet adorn the base of the grand staircase. Additional details can be found throughout the Grand Hall that are inspired by “Aladdin” and represent the film’s spirit of adventure. You will also be able to spot the magic lamp, located near the statue. The Grand Hall’s intricate carpet evokes the fountain in Jasmine’s courtyard and also features animals you’ll see in the film including Aladdin’s mischievous monkey sidekick Abu, Jasmine’s birds, the golden scarab beetle, and more.
Entertainment Experiences in the Grand Hall on the Disney Treasure
A dynamic theater, offering incredible entertainment experiences, can be found in The Grand Hall. Character encounters and interactions with special storytellers — the Treasure “Sea”kers — who perform short retellings of classic Disney stories.
