Disney World Skyliner Construction Update: Art of Animation and Pop Century

During a recent vacation to Disney World, I was able to snag a peak at the construction for Disney World’s Skyliner, a new transportation system that will open in late 2019.

When complete, the Disney Skyliner will connect Pop Century, Art of Animation, Caribbean Beach, and the planned DVC Disney Riviera Resorts with Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios. — When complete, the Disney Skyliner will connect Pop Century, Art of Animation, Caribbean Beach, and the planned DVC Disney Riviera Resorts with Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

We stayed at Disney’s Art of Animation, a Disney value resort, which will be a stop on the Skyliner. This particular stop will be shared by Art of Animation and Disney’s Pop Century Resort. The two Disney resort hotels are separated by Hourglass Lake and connected by Bridges.

Pictured here is the loading dock for the Skyliner. The bridge pictured above is on the left side of the photo, so you would board and proceed to the right of the photo when taking off.
