Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort to Discontinue Offering Pirate-themed Rooms

If you had a pirate fan in your family, one of the most unique rooms you could have booked in the past were the pirate-themed rooms at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, a moderate resort that’s located on the Skyliner path. These rooms were sure to make any pirate fan smile!

These specialty rooms at Disney’s Caribbean Resort were themed after Pirates of the Caribbean and were full of fun pirate-y details like pirate ship beds, furniture that looked like treasure chests, and other fun pirate details.

The Caribbean Beach Resort also used to offer fun pirate cruises for kids aged 4-12. For a fee, parents could book their kids on a 2-hour cruise that would take them around the waters of the Caribbean Beach Resort, hunting for treasure and hearing tales of lore from local pirates. These cruises are still listed as unavailable on the Disney website and there hasn’t been any word of their return.

If you were hoping to stay in one of these pirate-inspired rooms, you may want to book your next trip to Walt Disney World soon. Disney just confirmed that the rooms are being discontinued by the end of this year.
