At the 2023 Destination D23 event, Chairperson of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Josh D’Amaro announced the new World Celebration neighborhood of EPCOT will “begin welcoming guests” this December!
The wording of the announcement is not clear on whether all the work will be complete, or if it will be complete enough that portions of the neighborhood will open.
World Celebration will unite the front of the park, tying together the other two new EPCOT neighborhoods, World Discovery and World Nature.
The completion of the last of the park’s three neighborhoods will be the latest major milestone of the multi-year transformation of EPCOT.
