Spaceship Earth Returns This Fall
One of EPCOT’s most iconic attractions is preparing to welcome guests once again. After being closed for several weeks, Spaceship Earth is set to reopen this October, according to updated park information.
Refurbishment Work in Progress
The ride temporarily closed on August 25, 2025, as crews worked on refreshing the attraction. While the interior updates have not been detailed, noticeable work outside the structure included fresh paint and landscaping improvements. Large planters were placed to block access to the ride entrance during the downtime.
Given the relatively short nature of the downtime, we don’t anticipate major changes in the ride experience.
Reopening Date Announced
Guests eager to step back into EPCOT’s signature geodesic sphere won’t have to wait much longer.
Disney’s official schedule now lists operating hours for Spaceship Earth beginning on October 25, 2025. That date marks the end of a two-month refurbishment period and the return of one of the park’s most recognizable experiences.
Do you usually make Spaceship Earth your first stop at EPCOT, or save it for later in the day?
