Disney’s Veterans Institute Summit is a two-day event that features insights and conversations with speakers passionate about supporting and enabling veterans and military spouses as they explore employment outside of their military service. This year’s event takes place this week from August 19-20 and First Lady Jill Biden will be providing opening remarks.
Also planned to be in attendance is Disney Parks, Experiences and Products Chairman, Josh D’Amaro alongside Dr. Beth Funk, Co-Founder & Executive Director, of A Hero’s Light, a non-profit that fosters and sustains a culture of wellness designed for those who actively serve their community.
Joining the roster of incredible speakers will also be Rear Admiral Jo-Ann F. Burdian, Assistant Commandant for Response Policy, U.S. Coast Guard, and Stephanie Ramos, Correspondent for ABC News. Finally, humanitarian and actor Gary Sinise, will make a special appearance via video with a heartfelt message for the attendees.
There’s still time to reserve space but if you’re unable to make it, the event will be broadcast live from the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex on Aug. 19 and 20.
