We are officially halfway to Halloween and with that it’s time to kick off all the spooky fun of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! You will see plenty of returning favorites in 2024. Still, this year five new surprises will be on hand at this separately ticketed event, which will take place on select nights at Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort beginning August 9!
While the calendar still says May, it is never too early to start planning your Halloween festivities so let’s find out what is in store for 2024.
1 – New costumes for Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse
Mickey and Minnie will be stepping out to greet guests during the party in their brand-new neon spiderweb attire.
2- More Villains sightings
You can spot your favorite sinister villains and ghoulish foes from the moment Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party kicks off and throughout the Magic Kingdom.
3 – Get your groove on with the DescenDANCE Party!
Dust off your dancing shoes and get ready to shake loose and show off your inner villain at the DescenDANCE party. The party happens at Rockettower Plaza Stage in Tomorrowland. It is inspired by the upcoming Disney Original Movie “Descendants: The Rise of Red,” premiering on Disney+ on July 12.
4- Bruno Madrigal joins the fun
For the first time during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, you will be able to meet Bruno from “Encanto” alongside Mirabel appearing at their Casita in Fairytale Garden. Believe me, you’re going to want to talk about this!
5 – New earlier start time for “Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade”
Perfect for the younger party-goers, this year’s Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade will start earlier so little ones can enjoy the spooky fun before their bedtime.
Returning Party Favorites
Now that we’ve covered the brand-new happy haunts, it’s time to reveal what’s back for 2024. Returning favorites include “Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular” fireworks show, hosted by Jack Skellington, the “Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular” stage show, and trick-or-treating throughout the park.
In addition, dance the night away and enjoy popular attractions with special Halloween twists, including Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor, Space Mountain, and Mad Tea Party. Plan to stop at all the various trick-or-treating locations and get ready to fill your Halloween bag with M&M’s Skittles, Snickers, and more! And don’t forget to save some time for stocking up on event-exclusive merchandise too!
Also returning is Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular Dessert Party, which includes fireworks viewing from Plaza Garden or Tomorrowland Terrace. Satisfy your sweet tooth while enjoying the fireworks! Reservations for this experience open on June 7.
