Most of Florida Under Heat Advisory, Heat Index Up to 112°

A Heat Advisory has been issued for most of Florida for Wednesday, July 30, 2025, from Noon until 7:00 p.m. The Advisory was issued by The National Weather Service in Melbourne and encompasses both Orange and Osceola counties, including Walt Disney World Resort and Universal Orlando Resort.

On Tuesday, July 29 Central Florida was under an Extreme Heat Warning. A Heat Advisory is a step below the warning but still dangerous. High temperatures will be between 93 and 98°F. The heat index (the “feels like” temperature with relative humidity factored in with the actual air temperature) will be up to 108 to 112°F.

Hot temperatures combined with high humidity can cause heat illnesses. Guests should take care to drink plenty of fluids, seek out air-conditioned areas, and stay out of the sun as much as possible.

When going outside, wear lightweight and loose-fitting clothing, and limit strenuous activities to early morning and evening. Do not leave young children or pets in unattended vehicles.

Take action if you see symptoms of heat exhaustion or heat stroke, like nausea, vomiting, flushed skin, rapid breathing, racing heart rate, confusion, agitation, and slurred speech.
