Zach Riddley, the Imagineer who led the years-long overhaul of EPCOT, has been promoted to Global Creative Strategy Executive for Walt Disney Imagineering.
Riddley’s previous job title was Portfolio Executive. In 2017, he was promoted to that position to oversee the EPCOT reimagining. In 2021, he became Portfolio Executive for New Experience Development, with his focus being “the intersection of strategy, design, and development —ensuring Disney quality storytelling and physical experiences play a vital role in consumer’s hearts and memories across the globe.”

Riddley became a recognizable face of Walt Disney Imagineering during the recent EPCOT overhaul. He has shared several updates about the project on his Instagram account. The overhaul was plagued by delays and cancellations, partially due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The openings of Journey of Water, Inspired by “Moana,” and CommuniCore Hall later this year mark the completion of the park’s overhaul.
What aspects of the EPCOT transformation led by Zach Riddley do you think resonate most with visitors?
