At the 2023 Destination D23 event, Chairperson of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Josh D’Amaro announced that the Hatbox Ghost will appear in the Magic Kingdom’s Haunted Mansion attraction in late November.
Disney is installing the Hatbox Ghost near the attraction’s Endless Hallway scene. This location has caused some concern among fans of the attraction since the Endless Hallway scene happens before the Seance scene with Madame Leotta. It’s that Seance scene where the ghosts are summoned to appear. Effectively, the Hatbox Ghost is showing up before ghosts should be visible.
