“Inside Out 2” has officially passed “Frozen II” as the highest-grossing animated film of all time based on global box office receipts, according to Deadline.
On Tuesday, July 23, “Inside Out 2” surpassed $1.46 billion at the worldwide box office, topping the $1.45 billion earned by “Frozen II.”
Interestingly, “Inside Out 2” is the top-grossing film ever in several markets, including Brazil, Chile, Columbia, Mexico, and Uruguay.
The film is the 13th-highest-grossing film of all time. It’s also the second-highest-grossing domestic animated film and is less than $10 million away from passing “Incredible 2” for the top domestic spot.
The immensely popular film has made its way into the theme parks. “Inside Out 2” merchandise collection is available at the Walt Disney World resort, and guests can meet Joy at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
