Summer of 2023 is going to be a very exciting time for Disney Cruise Line guests! In addition to the celebration of the 25th anniversary and the exciting array of new, themed offerings, Disney Cruise Line has announced that the popular MagicBand+ technology used at Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort will be making its way to Disney Cruise Line. The new technology will be called DisneyBand+ and will be previewed on select Disney Wish sailings before its official debut.
DisneyBand+ will allow you to unlock the hands-free convenience of wearable technology on the high seas for the first time on a Disney Cruise. There will be three Disney Cruise Line-exclusive designs to choose from, making DisneyBand+ the perfect accessory for your Disney cruise vacation.
With DisneyBand+ you will be able to unlock your stateroom door, and charge treats or souvenirs to your payment card as easy as tapping your wrist. The DisneyBand+ is adventure-proof and can be worn while cooling off at the pool, snorkeling at Disney Castaway Cay, or taking a plunge on AquaMouse!
Even the tiniest explorers will be able to experience the magic of DisneyBand+. Children 3 years and up can use their bands in lieu of the Oceaneer Club Band to access kids’ clubs, including Disney’s Oceaneer Club while onboard and Scuttle’s Cove at Castaway Cay.
Onboard photographers around the ship will be ready to capture vacation memories with a simple tap that can be easily linked to a stateroom to view and purchase photos.
Wearing DisneyBand+ will allow guests to discover enchanting surprises throughout their cruise so be on the lookout for extra moments of magic. Plus the band is rechargeable – making it an ideal accessory for future Disney vacation experiences.
DisneyBand+ is an optional add-on and is not included in the cruise fare.
