Blackwells Capital owns about $15 million worth of Disney stock, and has nominated three people to join the Disney board of directors:
- Jessica Schell: Warner Bros. and NBCUniversal executive
- Craig Hatkoff: Tribeca Film Festival co-founder
- Leah Solivan: TaskRabbit founder
Blackwells suggested that Disney could be split into three separate public companies. In a letter to shareholders, Blackwells stated, “Disney may simply be too complex for any one successor to Mr. Iger to manage holistically, and Blackwells believes that it is the responsibility of the board to oversee these types of analyses in the ordinary course.”
Do you think Disney should be split up into multiple companies?
