Disney has announced that the final day of operation for the attraction “It’s Tough to Be a Bug” at Disney’s Animal Kingdom will be March 16, 2025. The show will be closed on March 17, 2025, to make way for Zootopia: Better Zoogether!, coming to Animal Kingdom in the winter of 2025.
It’s Tough to Be a Bug debuted on April 22, 1998, as an opening day attraction and is housed within the Tree of Life, the centerpiece of Disney’s Animal Kingdom. It’s Tough to Be a Bug was inspired by the Pixar film, “A Bug’s Life,” and is a 3D film and live show. Flik hosts the show and teaches guests (aka honorary bugs) how insects survive in the world.
The new show, Zootopia: Better Zoogether!, was announced at Destination D23 in 2023. Characters from the Zootopia film like Judy Hopps, Nick Wilde, and more will be featured in the new show.
Additional characters include Gazelle, Chief Logo, Flash, and Priscilla. The attraction will also feature an audio-animatronic of Officer Clawhauser.
