Unpredictability remained the name of the game in the Tournament of Disney Dining, as another top seed bit the dust during first-round voting last week. Seeded second in the Resorts division, the California Grill was no match for the ketchup at the #7 Whispering Canyon Café, as the Wilderness Lodge mainstay picked up 56% of the vote to move to the Scrumptious 16.
Over 500 votes were cast in the Resorts and Disney Springs brackets, with only two restaurants (Ohana in Resorts and Polite Pig at Disney Springs) clearing the 60% barrier. Every other battle was in play all the way to dessert, including the Boathouse’s nailbiting escape over Raglan Road with just 51% of the tallies.
