EPCOT is undergoing a massive park-wide transformation and one of the many things being affected is the MouseGear store, which opened in 1999. The store in the current location will be closing on January 4, 2020 and a major remodeling will take place.
The MouseGear store was originally scheduled for closure during 2019 but there has been a bit of a delay. However, now that the holidays are almost over, work has begun in earnest. Counters are already being replaced with temporary wheeled registers in a new temporary location.
MouseGear will reopen on January 5, 2020
The store is set to reopen on January 5, 2020 and will continue to be called MouseGear. The temporary location will be located in Innoventions East, facing Test Track.
The original MouseGear store has not been remodeled since 2011 when it saw new signage, fixtures, and registers. It will now be fully updated as part of EPCOT‘s new look.
