Disney Springs at Walt Disney World will reopen on May 20, 2020.
During this first phase of reopening, a limited number of third-party locations (such as those by Starbucks, Rainforest Cafe, etc.) will open. Disney has not yet provided a list of what will be open and what will remain closed on May 20.
New Safety Procedures
Disney Springs will have new safety measures in place, including:
- Enhanced cleaning procedures
- Use of face coverings by both Disney Cast Members as well as guests
- Limited-contact guest services
- Additional training for Disney Cast members.
Disney will take lessons learned from the health and travel industries into account as part of the planning and reopening procedures. They are talking with unions about some Cast Members returning to work.
Limited Operations
Disney Springs will limit capacity, operating hours, and parking upon opening. Disney may also announce other restrictions and procedures as they get closer to opening again.

Rest of Resort Will Reopen In Phases
Disney has also announced that they may limit capacity and change operations for the parks, resorts, hotels, and restaurants. Some services and attractions may remain closed. This will be in addition to new health and safety measures.
At this time the Disney World parks and resorts remain closed, and Disney has not announced when they will reopen.
Glad that Disney Springs will reopen on May 20?
