Photos Of The Beak and Barrel

The Beak and Barrel will officially open to sailors of all ages on August 29, 2025. This tavern at Magic Kingdom, themed “Pirates of the Caribbean” will unite swashbucklers and buccaneers alike from across the Seven Seas to partake of delicious bites and, while being immersed in the pirate life!

From weathered relics to magical grog, every corner of this lively tavern is packed with tales of high-seas adventures. We are excited to share a first look into the details found in the tavern.

The Mess

The first area guests encounter is “The Mess,” a bustling space once used as a mess hall by Spanish troops before pirates took control and made it their own. Suspended overhead, a ship’s bell rings with history—rumored to be from the original vessel of the notorious Captain Redd, and possibly a gift to her comrade or rival, Merry.

Sturdy wooden tables stretch across the room, inviting large groups to gather for stories, laughter, and maybe a bit of scheming. The ceiling centerpiece? A massive anchor turned chandelier, dripping with candles and character. Nearby, guests will notice barnacle-encrusted stained-glass windows featuring mermaids—recovered from the remains of a legendary pirate ship.

In one shadowy corner lies The Brig, still marked by metal bars and the remnants of its former role as a prison. Though the door has long since been ripped from its hinges, the eerie vibe lingers. Some even say the walls carry memories of the troublemakers who once called it home.

The Cursed Bar

Adjacent to The Mess stands a bar unlike any other, shaped like a massive skull and overflowing with rare bottles and pirated treasures. At the core of the bar is the famed Enchanted Rum Bottle, said to have been gifted by a mysterious enchantress. This magical bottle ensures the tavern’s barrels never run dry—as long as it remains full.

Perched high above the bar is Rummy, a cheeky animatronic companion who keeps guests entertained with stories, jokes, and songs from his perch inside the skull’s eye socket.

The Captains’ Quarters

For those seeking a touch of elegance, the Captains’ Quarters offer a glimpse into a more opulent side of pirate life. Once the residence of a Spanish comandante, the space still showcases ornate artwork and rich tapestries, though now marred with sword slashes and scorch marks left by pirate antics.

A grand fireplace warms the room, topped with a display of ship-in-a-bottle models. Keep a sharp eye—visitors claim these miniature vessels spring to life and battle before astonished onlookers.

The Mapmaker’s Room

In a quieter corner lies the Mapmaker’s Room, a cluttered sanctuary dedicated to a possibly mad pirate cartographer. Maps, scrolls, and splashes of ink cover every surface, with a massive table at the center for new discoveries and mischief.

A painted mural of the known pirating world spans one wall, offering hints at hidden secrets and untold adventures. It’s a place that invites curiosity—and perhaps your own daring expedition.

No two visits to The Beak and Barrel will be the same. With surprises tucked around every corner and a rotating cast of pirate legends, guests will always have something new to discover.
