Pizzafari Serving Family Style Meals at Animal Kingdom

Pizzafari has long been a staple quick-service dining location in the Discovery Island section of Disney’s Animal Kingdom. While Disney’s pizza isn’t necessarily the best on Disney property, it’s a colorful and fun restaurant with a good variety of pizza, flatbread, soup and salads.

Now something new is coming to Pizzafari!

Family-Style Dining at Pizzafari

As of July 31st, 2018, Pizzafari will start serving family-style meals in addition to their regular counter-service dining nightly between 5pm and 8pm.

You’ll still be able to walk up to the counter and order what you want or mobile order on MyDisneyExperience, but the new family-style option will allow for a sit-down family meal in one of two designated dining rooms in the restaurant. The other three will remain open for quick-service diners.

For $19.99 for adults and $11.99 for kids, each person gets a non-alcoholic beverage (beer and wine are available for purchase), and the table gets two salads, three entrees (pasta, chicken, and pizza), and dessert to share. This price includes tax, and while gratuity is not included, it’s also noted on Disney’s website that it isn’t required even though a Cast Member will bring food to your table.

Considering that quick-service entrees range between $9.99 and $13.49 per meal plus a drink and dessert, the $19.99 cost doesn’t seem too bad! For an even better bang for your buck, this “table-service” option is only one quick-service dining credit per person!

A couple big questions remain though: how many people does this serving feed? Disney’s website doesn’t specify a number, and they don’t say whether the Cast Member-wait staff will bring drink refills or more food if requested and/or necessary.
