The runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend returns to Walt Disney World Resort from April 3-6, 2025. The final race weekend of the 2024-2025 season will immerse you in all things HEROIC! Inspiring movie clips plus seeing your favorite hero Disney Characters will be all you need to be the hero of your own story!
Completing each race mission will earn you a one-of-a-kind themed medal for each race you win. You will take home a fourth Challenge medal if you feel super-heroic and complete all three races!

runDisney Springtime Surprise 5K
Jumpstart your race weekend by blasting off on a galactic 3.1-mile adventure that will leave you feeling like an honorary Guardian of the Galaxy. Groot and his interstellar allies host the race, and upon completion, you’ll be awarded this exciting finisher medal!
runDisney Springtime Surprise 10K
The Hercules 10K will challenge you to show off the herculean magnitude of your strength and the strength of your heart. This 6.2-mile race will feature familiar friends from Disney Animations’ Hercules.
runDisney Springtime Surprise 10-Miler
Give the world a glimpse at just how super you are as you run alongside Mrs. Incredible, Mr. Incredible, and Frozone from Disney Pixar’s The Incredibles. Finish the 10-mile course and pick up this fantastic finisher medal.
runDisney Springtime Surprise Challenge
Feeling extra heroic? Then plan on finishing all three races, accumulating 19.3 miles, and earning this special finishing medal featuring Baymax and Hiro from Disney Animation’s Big Hero 6!
Race weekend fun doesn’t stop there! It was announced earlier in 2024 that Brooks will become the official running shoe of runDisney beginning in 2025. It was recently revealed that the 2025 runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend will be their debut race weekend! Event participants will be able to gear up with official race shirts provided by Brooks. In addition, the first pairs of Disney-themed running shoes will be available starting at the race weekend’s runDisney Health & Fitness Expo.
Plan to start your race weekend at Disney’s Hollywood Studios during Disney Heroes Yoga. Find your inner hero while you stretch your body, mind, and imagination.
