Slinky Dog Dash is the big new attraction in Disney’s Hollywood Studios‘ Toy Story Land.
As the story goes, Andy built a roller coaster for one of his favorite toys, Slinky Dog. Now, Slinky Dog can cruise around Andy’s Backyard, and since you’re now the size of, say, the Green Army Men, you can ride on Slinky Dog!
What’s really cool about the Slinky Dog Dash is that there’s a speed launch at the beginning. It doesn’t go too fast, but it really feels like you’re on a slinky being pulled back and launched forward.
It is considered a thrill ride, but the height requirement is 38″, and there are only small drops. It is similar in thrill level to Seven Dwarfs Mine Train in Magic Kingdom. That said, some portions of the coaster get relatively high off the ground, and there are some big curves.
